Michel Hazanavicius‘ The Artist tells the story of the interlinked destinies of silent movie star George Valentin (Jean Dujardin) and young extra Peppy Miller (Bérénice Bejo). Also starring John Goodman, James Cromwell, Penelope Ann Miller and Uggie the dog (winner of Best Dog at the prestigious Golden Collars) this beautifully crafted black and white, silent film charmed the pants off juries during awards season, winning 5 Oscars earlier this year.
