Handbag Beauty

What are your handbag essentials? Lip gloss, concealer, lip balm, mirror, perfume, mascara, blush, bronzer, hair brush, hair tie, bobby pins, deodorant, tweezers… my handbag needs to be enormous! But to (slightly) decrease the extreme size and weight I place on my shoulder, I have scoped out the absolute handbag essentials, and very cute mini versions of things that you should definitely keep in your bag to assist in last minute crises!

Annabel Trends Kimono Girls Tweezers, RRP $9.95

So cute. What more can I say?

Benefit Hello Flawless, RRP $63

A tidy, wee little cover up powder in a compact and super cute case. It is even SPF15. Thank you Benefit.

Annabel Trends Spa Trends Blotting Facial Paper, RRP $2.95

Another handy way of minimising facial glow (which is rampant at this time of year) is a pocket-sized blotting paper. Excellent.

Covergirl Wetslicks Amazemint, RRP $15.99 (relevant shade: No Care Bare)

Lip gloss. An absolute handbag essential.

Estée Lauder Sensuous Touch-On Fragrance, 10ml, RRP $65

Any handbag worth carrying has a mini fragrance in it. You must smell good. At all times.

Benefit Benetint Pocket Pal, RRP $38

Blush and lip stain in one. I love.

ModelCo Beauty Fix Air Brush Face, RRP $42

Spray this onto your freshly made up face, and you’ll come home after a long night looking as fresh faced as when you started.

Napoleon Perdis Light Patrol Luminizer Palette, RRP $72

Lots of colours, lots of option, small enough to fit snugly into your handbag.

Trilogy Hydrating Mist Toner, 100ml, RRP $27

Feeling hot? Spritz this for a fresh and cool perk-me-up.

Bloom Scented Paper Soaps, $5 (relevant flavour, French Lavendar)

Ever finished using a public toilet, only to find there is no hand soap? Carry these little puppies and you shall have that problem no more.

Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil, RRP $9.99 (relevant shade, Jet Black)

Been invited out for drinks at the last minute? Eye liner is a guarantee to take your look from day to night. Keep it in your handbag.

Benefit Confessions of a Concealaholic, RRP $68

I can’t express the importance of a mini, take-everywhere-with-you concealer. It is like an instant facelift.

About Romy Grbic

Romy Grbic is Trespass Magazine's Auckland-based Beauty and Style Editor, and was always the kid with the ‘wacky’ parents. This used to be slightly embarrassing when bringing friends home from school, but has turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The 24-year old writer/beauty therapist, living in a house with optimal feng-shui, seems to be following in the footsteps of her slightly alternative parents and carving a road uniquely her own. One leading to self-sustainable living on a large farm with a big organic vegetable garden, and a very large makeup kit and wardrobe. With a diploma in beauty therapy and a degree in sociology, Romy has taken her passion for learning, pretty things and writing and combined them into one, by creating her own website (www.onefabulousday.wordpress.com) on which she blogs optimistically, in the hopes of making the world a better place, both aesthetically and environmentally.
