Letter From the Editors

Very recently, a friend approached me with quite a deep question. She asked, “when are you most happy?” I thought about it long and hard. I recalled great night outs, funny things my mother has said, conquering goals, hanging out with best friends, and then it came to me – I am most happy when I’m laughing. And the great thing about laughing is that it’s a fun way to workout one’s abs.

Welcome to April’s theme week, one dedicated to the most pleasant past time of them all, laughing. Inspired by several comedy events happening around Australia like the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and because it is good for the lungs, heart, brain and soul, we’re looking at comedy from all angles this week.

Beth Wilson has done one of her patented lists and has asked her film writers to tell us what they think are the funniest films ever made. We’ve got film reviews too, and some of the Trespass team will share what makes them laugh and who their favourite comedians are. Our Regulars will be putting a comedic spin on their columns this week, and Romy shall be whipping up a comedy themed beauty piece. Furthermore, for Melburnians, Lin Tan will be recommending a list of shows to watch at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

It’s a four-day work week, and to make it fly by, we’ve gone YouTube crazy to help you shamelessly procrastinate. As usual, we want to hear from you via Facebook, Twitter, email and the humble comments box, about what makes you laugh and, come Sunday, we’ll all feel younger, fitter and more beautiful.

Here’s hoping this week will bring you lots of comic relief.

Love Lin & Liv
