Dearest Readers
If you’re a regular Trespasser, you may have noticed the magazine has undergone a few cosmetic procedures. This is largely because Trespass Magazine was sick of being offered mother-of-Miley-Cyrus roles and decided the only answer to these fast moving times is to reinvent a la Madonna and Ms Minogue.
The new design offers a better showcase of the sheer breadth of content we have on offer – you can now navigate your way around our new sections – Arts & Entertainment, The Regulars, Beauty & Style and Travel – and keep track of your favourite writers with greater ease.
We welcome a new column, The In-between, in which Sam Webster writes – with a little contemplation, we can see the metaphysical stitches which hold the fabric of the world together as one big understanding or misunderstanding, both a problem to be solved and its own conclusion. We also bid farewell to Dish It as you have come to know it, and wave hello to a weekly column that combines updates on the celebrity-scape with a closer look at topical pop culture issues.
Over the past five months (we turn six months old on June 1st) we have interviewed fantastic actors, musicians and writers, like Adhir Kalyan, Andy Bull, BC Jean, Tracy Quan and Rachel Hills. We have become lost in travel missives from Fiji, Santorini, LA, New Zealand, Vietnam, Spain and Japan; we have discussed Obamarama, the Green Movement, Wankerism, Victim Impact Statements, the psychology behind stereotyping, the future of Australian multiculturalism, The Quarter Life Crisis, Gordon Ramsay, Jade Goody and the appeal of the Tudors. We have reviewed theatre, film, books, contemporary dance and music.
It has truly been a big year thus far for this little magazine and we’re only getting bigger. We’d like to take the rare opportunity of an Editor’s letter to thank our readers for their continued loyalty and support and our writers for their continued brilliance and creativity.
Without further ado, please enjoy what we have on offer this week, to celebrate our new look. New reviews, new travel pieces, the latest Sarah-Jane Adams offering and, of course, brand new Giveaways. Later this week you’ll see the results of our first ever beauty shoot, Trespass With Mike Rosenburg from British band Passenger, be treated to more music and film reviews, enjoy more from our Regulars and the aforementioned debut from new Regular, Sam Webster.
Because this week is all about both taking stock and looking ahead to a bright future, here are our top ten articles since launch, in case you missed them the first time round …
