Product Review: Nivea Aqua Sensation Eye Cream

So it turns out quite a few of you are on the hunt for a decent eye cream. Too many late nights, beauty readers? Whether or not you’ve been hitting the tiles, the books or the office desk a little too hard, getting into the habit of using an eye cream in your skin care regime isn’t a bad idea.

The skin beneath our eyes is extremely delicate and highly susceptible to the everyday wear and tear of stress, eye rubbing, dehydration, partying and a poor diet. It manifests its unhappiness in dark smudges, bags and puffiness which aren’t, let’s all agree, ideal.

Whilst we’re young, our skin still has its natural bounce-back ability, thanks to the fact it is still producing its own elastin and collagen. So steer clear of anti ageing products which will simply make your skin lazy and reliant on expensive creams doing its job. Choose a product designed for younger skin that concentrates on hydrating and protecting, rather than plumping skin and erasing wrinkles.

Nivea Visage Aqua Sensation Anti Shadow Eye Cream is a great one to start with. Chock full of cooling cucumber, invigorating ginseng and magnesium, it is a refreshing cream that provides long lasting nourishment. Vitamin E and UVA/UVB do the defense work, helping the delicate skin fortify itself against daily damage. The best part is you can feel it working as it gently tingles, the ginseng and cucumber putting themselves to work.

This is a cool balm that will soothe tired, dry and scratchy Friday morning eyes. It instantly calms puffiness and, if used regularly, will work on reducing those pesky bags.

About Olivia Hambrett

Liv Hambrett is the Editor in Chief of Trespass. She has a weakness for the Scandinavian pop scene, doughnuts, and escapism (among many other things). She routinely pours cups of tea and forgets about them, buys international glossy magazines even though they highlight her fashion, fiscal and physical shortcomings and has lost count of how many perfumes she owns. This doesn't stop her from buying more. One day, she will write a bestselling book, turn it into an award winning screenplay, and retire to a villa (or yacht, she's not fussy) in the Mediterranean, to live out the rest of her days in sundrenched peace. If you lose her, look under a pile of books, scrap paper and empty tea cups, or check her bank statements for any recent, rash plane-ticket purchases. Don't try and call her, she's probably lost her phone.
