Spring Has Finally Sprung

As a newbie to Melbourne, I arrived thinking, “I’m in Australia, it is always warm here. It’s a desert.” Alas, how wrong I was. I believe, after being told from a number of sources, that the recent September is the coldest September that Melbourne has ever experienced (in a decent amount of years). Now, here I was, sitting in New Zealand a few months ago, believing this facade that Melbourne is so warm, Melbourne gets Spring and Summer so much earlier than we do. Ummm, yea right, is all I can say. But, what I can also say, is thank you Melbourne for being so beautiful these last few days! (Okay, we did have some freak downpours, along with quite fun thunder and lightning yesterday, but on a whole this last week, since entering October, has been pretty beautiful). So I thought, to get right into the swing of Spring this week, I would hunt out the latest beauty must-haves for this season! And boy, have I found some goodies…

ModelCo Lipstick Lip Couture in Coral, RRP $28

Coral has been a hot colour for a while now, but it really is Spring’s top pick.

Natural Compatibles Perfect Touch Concealer, RRP $30

These cute little guys are the new must-have beauty accessory for Spring. Enriched with beeswax and carnauba wax they are softening and soothing to your skin – perfect for underneath your eyes (where I’m always scared of damaging!) They’re available in a range of colours to match your skin tone, as well as Anti-Red which I’m a particular fan of.

Miller Harris Fleur De Matin EDP, RRP $180

Translating literally to mean ‘flower of the morning’ (thank you high school French and google), you can’t really find a fresher fragrance for Spring. Think dewy, early morning walks through flower fields.

ModelCo Eye Shadow Trio in Island Fever and Purple Haze, RRP $39

All I can say is I am madly in love with the aqua eye shadow. Will need professional help to apply it, but am in love. Also enjoying the Purple Haze trio for nights out.

Beauty essential for Spring. Glowing cheekbones. Pretty much a beauty essential all year round.
