They say boho, they say chic and they say bling. Versatile, colourful and down right fabulous, bangles line your cuffs and spice up your outfit in an instant. Wear with a maxi dress, sandals and wayfarers for casual cool; a crisp white shirt, denim jacket and black cigarette pants for screen siren edge; or stack them gold or silver with a little black dress and a sexy doe-eye for ultimate old-world glamour. This season, it’s all about forgetting the plain old plastic (let’s reserve that for the eighties) and embracing colours, textures and words a la Miss Cushman. And with Aussie online boutique Miijo stocking more than you can handle, piling up on arm candy has never been easier. Visit Miijo and start stacking a few of my favourite things.
These snaked embossed Italian leather and 24kt gold plated bangles are are handmade in Florence, Italy. Available in a variety of colours, and featuring a magentic closure (so they fit us all) they are great on their own or make a statement when teamed with others of the same style. A fave among the LA celebrity set (Kate Hudson, Bosworth, Eva Longoria, Cameron Diaz) these are the answer to the girl who dreams of being A-list on budget. Slightly steep at $199, but they’ll last longer than plastic and will still be fashionable decades from now. Trespass tip: Check out Miijo’s other Vita gold chain link bracelets, which would really compliment the above. I should know, I am the proud owner of six of them!

Whether ripped off Chanel, a movie script or a song, these babies bring a lot more oomph to the girl who already has a lot to say. Available in black and ivory, these srimshawed resin bangles are limited edition but pack a whole lot of punch to your jewellery box. We’ll always have Paris is a fave, but then again, we are a little spolit for choice. Want more styles to choose from? Try US retailer Revolve Clothing. From $159

These have been around for a little while, but the celebrity obsession has not waned. Nor has mine for a matter of fact (not because of the celeb reason either – you may have noticed from my choices this week I like to do the statement thing) and that’s because these braclets make a really bold addition to any outfit. But at almost $400 a pop, I think 90% of us are doomed to admire from afar. Dare I say let’s stuff the cuff, but as a fashionista to the end, I just can’t do it.
