Ahhh…another themed week at Trespass! And a theme that is close to my heart… well, in a roundabout sort of way. Firstly, I am a woman myself (yay! Go us!) Secondly, being Women’s Week, it means I can freely talk about makeup, skincare, glitter, accessories and the like without anyone letting out more than a peep.
So, this week I decided to get out there and find some interesting, creative, and inspiring women to talk to. Talk to them about what, I hear you say? This is obviously in jest, as what am I going to talk to them about apart from beauty? Yes. I’ve gathered the crème de la crème of beauty tips for you this week, my little beauties. Keep reading for some delightful ideas you may not yet have tried, and to find out a little bit more about these lovely ladies…

What I do: I am the CEO of The Australasian College-Broadway (the College) which I established in 1994. It is now recognised as the benchmark College in Australia offering Nails, Beauty, Makeup and Hairdressing qualifications all under one roof. We have approximately 750 domestic and international students who are guided by our educators who are the very best in their field. Coming from a disadvantaged background myself, I have also instilled a culture of giving back at the College. Staff and students get involved in raising funds, donating free hair and beauty services, hosting career days, and providing VIP passes to beneficiaries from organisations such as Canteen and the Life Changing Experiences Foundation which assists ‘at risk’ teens.
My top three best beauty tips:
- Many people cleanse, tone and moisturise but forget eye cream. I have been using eye cream from the age of eighteen. It makes a difference when you are older!
- Elbows and feet look terrible when they are calloused. I have cream I apply morning and night. Nothing looks worse than a beautiful pair of sandals when you see thick ugly soles.
- Hair masks once a week to keep hair soft and healthy. We feed our face but most people forget to nourish hair.

What I do: I am the CEO and Founder of Vani-T, a leading Australian eco-glamour beauty brand. Due to our exponential growth I work at a million miles an hour. I have a great supportive husband who also runs the company and helps me look after our three beautiful children.
My top three best beauty tips:
- Pure rose hope oil for all skin types.
- An invigorating start to the day with dry body brushing – excellent for circulation, removing dead skin cells, cellulite breakdown. After my shower, applying Bronzing Custard for a subtle natural glow.
- Salicylic and lactic acid foot peels in Thailand. Note to self – don’t go there yet!

Magdalena Duma
What I do: I own my own label, Magdalena Duma, and together with my best friend run our flagship store on King Street, Newtown, Sydney. The clothes that I design are for savvy, sexy and strong women who want to dress up and stand out in a crowd.
My top three best beauty tips:
- Beauty starts from within so be conscious of what you put into your body. Fresh, unprocessed food is always a good idea. Having the right balance of food will give you radiant skin, keep you trim and healthy. A healthy body is a beautiful body.
- Exercise. Any form, yoga, gym, running or even walking. Not only does it help you stay fit and healthy but also helps to clear your mind and make huge problems much more manageable.
- Hydrate. Drink lots of water and freshly squeezed juices, not bottled as they contain loads of sugars and are not good for you. Hydrate your skin with moisturisers twice a day, heavier ones for winter, and lighter ones for summer. Try to find cosmetics that contain natural ingredients, your skin will love you for it.
