Trailer Teaser: 500 Days of Summer

As we snuggle into our coats to ward off the winter cold, what better time to reminisce about the summer sunshine? (500) Days of Summer is Fox Searchlight’s new indie rom-com. Yes, those people who brought us Juno and Garden State, which means you may well be able to assemble the soundtrack on your iPod. In fact, eager to get said The Smiths loving crowd involved, Fox Searchlight ran a poster vote and have an official site chocker-block full of content (if you can make it past the Big Mac ads that is).

Starring a cutely scruffy Joseph Gordon-Levitt and a retro chic Zooey Deschanel, this film looks like it’s shooting to be When Harry Met Sally for our generation. After all: This is not a love story. This is a story about love.

Some Sydneysiders may have been fortunate enough to catch a screening at the Sydney Film Festival, but everyone else will have to wait until spring has sprung to bask in (500) Days of Summer.
