Trespassing with … Pierre-Olivier Briglio

I first met Pierre-Olivier mere moments after he’d come out of a tustle with a scooter, a little worse for wear. I suggested he get a bandaid for his toe*, he rather politely demurred and we got to talking about the large camera he was saddled with. It turned out Pierre was staying on the island of Santorini because he had, wait for it, been flown out from the states to shoot a wedding. All in a day’s work.

Last week Pierre gave us this beautiful photo album from his time on Santorini – and now that we know what he can do, it’s time to find out what he’s about.

Take it away, Pierre …

My full name is … Pierre-olivier Briglio

I am … simply an artist with a camera

I’m originally from … Montreal Canada but I currently reside in … Encinitas, California

My star sign is … Capricorn, and its pretty much on point. Kinda scary.

I wish I could remember my first photo, although it was probably my sister pissing on the oven when she was sleepwalking. Crazy girl.

I have various cameras … that I rock, from Polaroids to Holgas, but I prefer my 5d mark ii. It makes me smile.

I became involved in photography because … I needed another outlet for my creative direction.. The possibilities are endless when one works with light.

I love shooting … not only because it allows me to travel, but I get to partake in one of the most emotionally charged, and important aspects of peoples lives. I love nothing more than to see and capture the emotions that humans exude in time of passion, particularly weddings.

I never really thought about it, but I never … eat the ends of anything, especially bananas. I think I might have an OCD issue brewing.

The last place I travelled to was … the magical Greek Islands. Despite the total reckless driving skills the Greeks possess (I did suffer a broken toe because of it*) there is something about the area that captivates, and engulfs one’s senses with pure beauty.

I wish I could choose a photograph that is my all time favorite, but just can’t. It changes from day to day, hour to hour.

One could look at the way another takes their coffee, and conclude that is the way he or she prefers their women … I’d have to say I prefer mine strong and sweet.

About Olivia Hambrett

Liv Hambrett is the Editor in Chief of Trespass. She has a weakness for the Scandinavian pop scene, doughnuts, and escapism (among many other things). She routinely pours cups of tea and forgets about them, buys international glossy magazines even though they highlight her fashion, fiscal and physical shortcomings and has lost count of how many perfumes she owns. This doesn't stop her from buying more. One day, she will write a bestselling book, turn it into an award winning screenplay, and retire to a villa (or yacht, she's not fussy) in the Mediterranean, to live out the rest of her days in sundrenched peace. If you lose her, look under a pile of books, scrap paper and empty tea cups, or check her bank statements for any recent, rash plane-ticket purchases. Don't try and call her, she's probably lost her phone.
